i’ve seen alot of more extreme versions, good thing about an intruder is the front forks already have a good ‘chopper’ angle to begin with.

thanks, send some pictures when its done. the wife had a 800 intruder once, the bikes are the same frame wise so the exact thing i did with my 1400 could be done to a 800.

Wow First off super …
Wow First off super nice video! The step by step photos with the talking at the end was perfect. Im actually new to all of the bike world. Im finally at the age where im responsable enough to own a “toy” like this one. I was planning on buying a sportster but my cousin who lives on bike said to buy a honda or a suzuki to learn on first. IM thinking he’s right but my question is was this something you planned on doing or was it a build as you go project.

Thanks for the …
Thanks for the comment, it will be cheaper to learn on a used honda then a harley just in case you go down. A sportster is a top heavy bike, might not be good to learn on, but everyone is different. I have a friend who modified a vulcan 1500, not this far, but it made me want to do the same thing. I had the idea in my head with the solid rear suspension and springer seat, and we made it up as we went along. I’m doing some more stuff to it now, I’m going to post those pics when I’m done.

Most excellent video! It really answered a lot of questions for me so I don’t have any for you. I’m at the starting point on a 79 GS425. It isn’t much but all I have. I’ve seen guys bob a 350 and 400 so I figure what the heck. Love the forward controls. I do think I’m gonna have to manufacture most of what I need though.
