I’ve had my 2007 ZX-6R up to 146mph and it still had plenty more to go.

    These bikes are so awesome!!!!

    isnt that …
isnt that dangerious? way to rich for that engine maybe?

Good deal, man. Recently just got mine out of it’s break-in period so I’ll have to make a few attempts at that speed and see how it goes.

Na, not at all. You …
Na, not at all. You ask me I think it’s just right. Kawi recommends 90+ as a bare minimum! In the few months I’ve had it, 94/95 is all that has been in it. The bike loves and seems to ride at it’s best with it compared to any other fuel I’ve tried so far and there have been no probs.

Now, too-rich-to-leave-sit fuel would be race gas which is like 100+. Not to say you can’t use that either, but I’d save that high fuel for track days, especially considering how expensive it is.

Hmmm ic. You get more hp the higher the octain u use right?

  8. xXRedPillXx Says:

    I’ve heard …
I’ve heard arguments for both yes and no. Couldn’t tell you for sure, but I wouldn’t imagine that fuel starts making a difference in horsepower unless you’re using race gas - a difference that is at best minimal. Maybe with that 100+ stuff you may see a slight boost, but even then I’m not sure.

Ask around. If you find out let me know.

Its a nice bike!!! I wanted this bike but because of my age and my unexperiancy, I bought the 08 ninja 250r… Its very nice bike and comfortable and I’m happy!!! So as you I assume with your new zx6r… So take care, and ride safe with gear…!!! greetings from Greek Kawa lovers… ;P

Appreciate the kudos, friend. Congrats on that new 250 - put some vids up! That is a fun bike as well and has plenty of gusto to it, itself. Ride safe.

Sick bike my man! I want one so bad. I’ve checked out the CBR600RR, the R6 and this ZX-6R, and it’s by far my favorite. I’d like to get one in the red. Hopefully I’ll get one in the Spring time and post my vid. Congrats again!

NICE!!! Congrats! I’m a ZX6r guy myself, 03′. I love the power of it, they look awesome!, and they’re just fun to ride… Hope you have fun, thanks for vid. -Brock

    Yeah that is pretty …
Yeah that is pretty much how I was when browsing the bikes. I was originally sold on the R6 for a while, but that easily got relegated to my second choice when I saw this baby. No regrets, either. More centrally-massed, being 6′2″; 175-180 it’s a more comfortable seating position, huge fuel tank, and has the reputation for being a menace on the streets. =D. Hope you get yours soon - the red is a bitchin’ color as well!

Thanks for the comment. The ZX6R is a timeless bike. A friend of mine I go to school with is always riding his ‘03 around campus, too - it’s sharp.

yo thats a badass bike in blue u got there - head turner for sure.

but i was wonderin how much you pay for insurance since you’re a college kid with a 600 cc bike?

  17. xXRedPillXx Says:

    Well it’s not like …
Well it’s not like I have anything to really gauge that either. I mean it’s brand new, always feels like it rides exceptionally. 94/95 is all i’ve put in it, so there hasn’t been much experimentation with many other fuels as far as their ratings go - just companies.

As far as I know, until you start getting in to race gas - the higher you go the less you have to worry about engine sludge building up. Not to mention the fuel lasts longer.

My insurance isn’t bad at all for this bike. It’s $520 bucks a year. Works out to be like $42/month.

Ah I see. SO using higher octain would be the better option? even though it costs more it still lasts longer then the lower octain?
